Come learn about fisheries, wildlife, and protection management at Maramec Spring Park on July 1st. Experience trout fishing with MDC staff, learn how to clean your catch, & preparing a campfire foil wrap meal. Youth accompanied by parent or guardian will then enjoy an evening of frog gigging from shoreline / Jon boat after sunset with MDC staff. The program will start at 5 pm and conclude by 11 pm on July 1st. Parent / guardian must be present during the entire event. This opportunity is for ten youth between the ages of 8-15 years old with little or no experience trout fishing or frog gigging. Interested youth are asked to apply by submitting a short 100-word essay as to why they should be selected. Application essay should be submitted to: Dwight.Warnke@mdc.mo.gov by noon Monday, June 24th. The ten selected participants will be notified on afternoon of June 24th with full program details.
