Learn to identify 10 common MO trees by observing their winter characteristics. Participants will learn about bark types, leaf scar arrangements, twig colors, and the presence of over wintering fruits and how to use them to ID trees in the winter. This program is designed for those looking to add a new skill to their naturalist tool kit as well as those looking for a winter dendrology refresher. Program may take place both in a classroom and on the trail. Plan to be outdoors for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Trail length 0.5- 0.75 miles. Please register each person individually. |
