Orienteering began in the late 1800’s as a navigational competition for members of the Swedish military. Once civilians realized how fun it was, they got involved and the trend took off. You will learn to use a compass and an orienteering map to navigate a predetermined course in the field. This basic course will be informative and fun; it may even lead to a new hobby for you and your family! JUDY FARNSWORTH
