Nature Journaling Workshop The full day course will guide beginners and avid nature journalists at their own pace while we explore the importance of water resources (like Roaring River) here in the Ozarks ecosystem. Nature Journaling can be a relaxing pastime for the person who loves the outdoors. Journaling may be an important skill for the field ecologist or wildlife biologist. And it’s certainly an inquiry-based tool for the educator to use reaching the fine and language arts. No matter the skill level, all are welcome to inquire. We will start with the basics of observation skills and explore a variety of ways to utilize the simple equipment needed for field sketching and journaling. The class will be in classroom and outside journaling in a variety of areas around the park. Space is limited, and a confirmation letter will be sent prior to the class. Instructors Anna Skalicky, Naturalist at Roaring River State Park and Jeff Cantrell, Conservation Educator will be sharing ideas and motivation for this life-long hobby. JEFFREY N CANTRELL
