Shaw Nature Reserve boasts nearly 2,500 acres of diverse Ozark habitat. 17 miles of trail leads you through restored Missouri forests, prairies, and glades. Join MDC Naturalist, Andy Klingensmith, as we discover the wildlife that live there how these unique landscapes change as the sun sets beyond the rolling hills.” Trail is compacted dirt and rock with some elevation change. Good gear to have: Sturdy trail shoes, water bottle, backpack, camera, notebook, hiking poles. SNR is a division of the Missouri Botanical Garden, an important partner supporting the mission of MDC!
