Happy Birthday, Runge! After 30 years of connecting people with nature, we have a lot to celebrate! Come celebrate YOUR nature center with these activities: • Learn about Runge’s prairie, creek, and forest at interactive learning stations along the trails. • Meet Chuck, one of MDC's working canines. • See the Showboat, a 1946 Chevrolet paneled truck used in MDC education programs in schools from the 1930s to 1950s. • Get energized with a Wildheart performance—creative, fun, and interactive songs about nature. • Hear Shortleaf Band’s “Fiddles and Forests” program about Ozark music and natural resources. • Encounter an amazing live animal or two! • Shoot a bow and climb our fire tower. • Have fun with games, crafts, and our Party Passport. • Enjoy hot dogs, chips, cookies, and lemonade served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No registration required.
