Winter is a great time to enjoy some of Missouri’s largest birds. Ellis Island, located beside the Mississippi River at the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary, is where one might view these birds and many more. Bring your binoculars and curiosity along on a hike around Ellis Island as we observe the wildlife and learn about the biology and life history of Bald Eagles, Trumpeter Swans, and Greater White-fronted Geese. Meet at the parking lot on the west end of Ellis Island. Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary is located East of Hwy 67 in West Alton, Missouri 63386. REBECCA A RODRIGUEZ
