Trumpeter swans are the largest and one of the most beautiful birds found in Missouri. They are also one of the greatest conservation success stories in the world. In 1935, only 69 birds remained in the United States. Today there are well over 63,000 of them in North America. Join us to celebrate this magnificent comeback by observing these swans at Binder Lake in Jefferson City. *NOTE: Due to our inability to accurately predict when the swans may arrive at Binder, this is a short-notice program that can occur any day of the week. We will call participants the day before the program to give time and location at Binder. Please make sure to provide a phone number during online registration. Dress for the weather.
