| Discover a new place to hike in the Saint Louis area with an MDC naturalist. This area was once part of a 10,000 acre cattle ranch, but is now a rugged forest full of plants and animals that are common to Ozark ecology. Prepare to learn about different plants, animals, history, and potentially see some interesting wildlife along the way. *Hike is 2.2 miles and of moderate difficulty. *Please wear suitable shoes for hiking and bring plenty of water. *Hike will be canceled in the event of inclement weather. *Meet at Forest 44 Conservation Area. Specific directions will be sent via email the week of the program. |
