Additional Information: | Instructed by: |
Mid-September is peak migration of monarch butterflies through Missouri on their way to their overwintering sites in central Mexico. We’ll be learning about the amazing life history of monarchs and other butterfly species we find. We will be trying to catch some of the monarchs to attach special tags on their wings which are used to study and track them. We’ll also discuss things that we all can do to help native butterflies and other pollinators. This program may be postponed for 24 hours or canceled in the event of rain. (Registrants will be notified by email.) |
