A fishing skills event to teach new participants how to catch, clean and cook catfish. Each participant will be able to catch and clean up to 3 catfish. Participants will also have the opportunity to sample some fried catfish. Those 16 years of age and older must possess a valid Missouri fishing license. Location Information Chesapeake Fish Hatchery Annually, an average of more than 9 million fish are produced at Chesapeake, and more than 5 million fish per year are stocked out. Fish species produced include bluegill, channel catfish, fathead minnows, grass carp etc. |

Directions: Chesapeake Hatchery resides next to the village of Chesapeake in Lawrence County. It is located nine miles east of Mt. Vernon, or 10 miles west of Republic, on Highway 174. |
