Explore the natural wonders inside Hunter’s Cave at Three Creeks Conservation Area (Boone County). Runge will provide round-trip transportation (meet at Runge Nature Center in Jefferson City). Pack a water bottle and dress for the weather. Caves are typically 55-57 degrees Fahrenheit, so you may wish to bring an additional layer of clothing. Rubber boots or sturdy closed-toe shoes that can get wet are required as the caving experience involves walking in chilly water. Hard hats and flashlights provided, but feel free to bring your own. Access to the cave requires a 15-minute hike in hilly, occasionally steep terrain and entering a small gate with an opening that is approximately three feet tall by two feet wide. Participants under 18 years old will need to submit a permission form signed by a parent or guardian. Registration required. Ages 12+ Rachel Mandi
