Registration required (adults) Join us at the W. Robert Aylward Education Pond at Burr Oak Woods for a Discover Nature-Fishing Lesson 1 and 2 program. We'll learn the basics of fishing including: Lesson 1: How to cast a spincast fishing rod properly and safely, parts of a fishing rod, how to fasten basic fishing tackle and how to properly handle and release a fish. Lesson 2: How to tie an improved clinch knot and how to properly secure bait on hooks. We'll also have a hands-on fishing opportunity where we'll try our luck catching some fish. Fishing equipment, tackle, bait and fishing coaches will be provided. Participants DO NOT need a fishing permit to fish during this program. Each participant must register separately.
