Do you know that coyotes play an important role in the wildlife community? Where do they spend most of their time? Learn the answers to these and other questions about these shy and elusive creatures that are more often heard than seen. Examine a coyote pelt and feel the sharp edges of their teeth in a coyote skull. We will watch the setting sun and then walk about a mile on a flat surface under the nearly full Snow moon to listen for these small members of the wolf family in the fields and prairies. Dress in layers with appropriate headwear and footgear. We will be outdoors for the entire program. Meet at the Cropland Overlook, lot “K”, about 4 1/2 miles from the front entrance. MDC asks all participants to observe current local social distancing and masking guidelines. Bringing and wearing face coverings is encouraged when appropriate. Patricia A Behle
