Registration required (ages 10+) Tents are overrated. Learn how to build your own temporary or emergency shelter using a combination of natural materials, plastic tarps and cordage. We'll practice rope lashing, knot tying and cordage making while constructing our shelters in the Discovery Center backyard. We'll even throw in a canoe to show you how to build a gravel bar rain shelter. Dress appropriately for the weather as this program will be outdoors.
