Have you ever wondered what types of birds you’ve been seeing out your living room window? Or how someone can tell the difference between a chickadee and a nuthatch at just a glance? Learn the basics of bird identification and put your skills to use collecting data for a citizen-science-driven survey, The Great Backyard Bird Count (February 18-21). Binoculars and field guides will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Learn more about this citizen-science project at www.birdcount.org. Dress for the weather. Registration required.
