Many of us refer to fall maintenance in the garden as “putting the garden to bed”. The native plant gardener however thinks of this as a very busy season. There are seeds to collect, fall planting to be done, and preparing the garden for winter wildlife. Sheltering wildlife in the winter takes a little bit of thought in the fall but not a lot of work. Learn how fall leaves and bare stems provide much needed shelter for insects during the winter. This program is developed for adults but children ages 12 and over may enjoy it.
