Registration required (adults) ORIENTATION: Required orientation will be presented at Burr Oak Woods W. Robert Aylward Education Pond. MDC will provide canoes, kayaks and personal floatation devices (PFD’s). Attend the required orientation to learn about Missouri River navigation and to brush up on your canoe strokes before we head out on the river for the Missouri River Autumn Glory float on Sunday, October 10 from 1-4 PM. Participants must attend this orientation to participate in the float. FLOAT: This float embarks on a 17-mile Missouri River float from the Rocheport to Providence Access. The Manitou Bluffs mark one of the most beautiful sections of the Missouri River Masterpiece. Sweet autumn breezes, early fall color and the quaking cottonwood leaves create the backdrop for a float you’ll never forget. Please dress for the weather, bring water, a headlamp or flashlight and a sack lunch to enjoy out on the river. *MDC will provide all equipment including PFD’s for each person. Participants are welcome to bring their own Coast Guard approved PFD if they prefer. PFD’s will be required on MDC boats at all times. This program is dependent on safe weather and river conditions. Participants will be contacted if conditions are not acceptable on the weekend of the event. All participants MUST register separately. John Rittel
