This will be an approximate 6 mile float on Big Piney River in Texas County, from MDC's Boiling Springs Access to MDC Mason Bridge Access. This will be an instructional floating program focusing on safe and efficient paddling techniques, strategies for fishing a warm-water Ozark river and natural history along the way. Program is open to people 12 years of age and older. Those younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult that is also registered for the event. Kayaks, lifejackets, paddles and some fishing gear will be provided. If 16 and older and planning to fish, make sure you have a current fishing license. You must wear closed-toe shoes and bring sunscreen, lunch, snacks and plenty of drinking water. We will have a short land-based lecture before departing on the float. WILLIAM T MILLS

From highways 63 and BB junction in Texas County, travel approximately 8 miles west on Hwy BB
