Join us as we partner with the Joplin Public Library for their teen summer reading program. Snakes are one of Missouri’s most misunderstood creatures. Some people have such a dread of snakes that they actually avoid going outdoors to fish, hunt, hike, or picnic. Getting to know the species, natural history, and distribution of Missouri's snakes can help you overcome your fear of them and appreciate their role in nature. Join us to learn about snakes of Missouri and about their important role. Register in person at the Joplin Public Library, via email (teen@joplinpubliclibrary.org), or by phone 417-623-7953, ext. 1027. This is virtual event for teens recommended ages 12-18. |
