| What’s the first thing you think of when you hear sumac? Is it “poison sumac” and “stay out of the woods”? You’re in luck because we do not have poison sumac in Missouri. However, we do have four species of sumac that are an important part of their ecosystem and also very delicious. We’ll learn how to identify the different sumac species, how to harvest them safely, and how to cook them. Each recipe we try will include a sumac ingredient so that we learn to recognize the taste. |
