| Every year on this weekend in June, the state of Missouri has a free fishing weekend, so there’s no better time to get out and try your hand at catching some fish! For this weekend only (Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13), you are not required to have a valid fishing license to fish any public water body that would normally require a fishing license. Don’t have any fishing gear? No problem! Come out to the North Cape County Park Lake, located north of the Conservation Nature Center and Regional Office, and spend an hour, or four, fishing. We will have fishing rods and tackle available with worms to use for bait. We will be out there from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 12 at Pavilion 4. Just look for the van and our Discover Nature-Fishing trailer. We hope to see you there! |
