Celebrate Spring by taking the kids outside and discover the basics of family fishing. What’s better than spending your time outdoors around a pond fishing with your family? Rekindle memories from your youth or start a new family tradition by learning the very basics of fishing to get any beginner angler on the water and catching fish. You will learn about some of the basic gear and how to use it. Then we will wet a line and do some catch and release fishing at the education pond. This program is appropriate for families with children. Dress for the weather and bring your own snacks and drinks. You can bring your own pole, or the Missouri Department of Conservation will provide basic equipment, tackle, and bait. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Participants do NOT need a fishing permit to fish during this program. All participants must register for this program separately. Please remember to wear a mask and social distance. |
