Shade is often considered an obstacle for productive gardens. In this session, we’ll explore some of the many species that thrive in shade, including medicinal forest botanicals, ornamental, and edible options. These plants (and mushrooms!) offer beauty, harvestable products for sale or home use, and conservation value. Native Plant Seminar programs are open for anyone to watch but are prepared with adult gardeners and landowners in mind. Pre-ordered plants may be picked up at the nature center on Saturday, March 13 between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. COVID precautions preclude any browsing or shopping on site. There will be no other vendors. Pre-ordered plants will be placed in your vehicle in the line at the front of the nature center. Cameron Johnston
