Trumpeter Swans are the largest and one of the most beautiful birds in Missouri. A conservation success story, this bird fought it's way back from a population of 69 in 1935 to well over 63,000 in North America. Celebrate this magnificent comeback by observing these swans at Binder Lake in Jefferson City through provided spotting scopes and binoculars (if needed). *NOTE: Due to our inability to forecast when Trumpeter swans arrive at Binder, this is a short-notice program. We will call participants the day before the program to give time and location at Binder. Please make sure to provide a phone number during online registration. Dress for the weather.
