Join us virtually to make a beautiful holiday wreath using local Missouri conifer boughs that you collect. A variety of dried native plants will add interesting accents from your very own yard and outdoor areas! Harvest and collect your own cedar or coniferous branches in preparation for the class Monday December 14 – a 30 gallon tote of conifer branches, pine cones, and native plant material is recommended to complete one wreath. Take your time the weekend prior to harvest your cedar branches as you will need to harvest before the class on Monday. What to have available for the program: • Cedar and/or pine branches (fill 30 gallon tote) • Pruners • Garden gloves • 12” wire wreath frame (example here – can be found at Walmart, Hobby Lobby or any craft store) • 22-24 gauge floral wire (example here - can be found at Walmart, Hobby Lobby or any craft store) • 2in – 2.5in wire ribbon for wreath bow • Any additional wreath accents you desire (i.e. pine cones, holly bush berries, any artificial poinsettias or berries, etc.) *If you live near the Winona Area, Twin Pines Conservation Education Center can provide the conifer branches for you as well as the 12” wire frame, the 22-24 gauge floral wire. Please contact the instructor to request any of these materials. Mary Beth Factor
