Southeast Missouri is crisscrossed by highways, but one route sees more travelers than any other, the Mississippi Flyway. This superhighway is a migration route and brings countless migratory birds right through our region. This program will offer participants a chance to see some of these migrants, including colorful warblers and water birds, up close and silently from the surface of the water. Transportation, kayaks, instruction, and safety equipment will be provided. Meet at the nature center, and bring weather appropriate clothing, a water bottle, and sack lunch. |
