This is a free event for mobility impaired and youth (ages 9 - 16) hunters; hosted by Missouri Disabled Sportsmen. To be considered for this hunt please fill out an application by clicking on this link: https://www.missouridisabledsportsmen.org/upland All successful applicants for the Batchel/Henry Mobility Impaired & Youth Hunter - Upland Bird Hunt sponsored by Missouri Disabled Sportsmen will be notified of their inclusion to the event on Monday, February 3, 2020. The day will consist of hunter check-in, a safety briefing with MDC & MDS volunteers, clay bird shooting, a continental pheasant shoot, lunch & raffle and will conclude with field hunts behind trained bird dogs and their handlers. The Missouri Department of Conservation will have several track chairs available for mobility impaired hunters to utilize throughout the day. Youth hunters must be between the ages of 9-16 years old. Everyone handling a firearm must be able to handle it safely and under their own control. Selected participants will be responsible for: * 2019/2020 Missouri Small Game License (16-65 years old) * There will be $5 Preserve Licenses available from String Creek II at the event (limited quantity) * Blaze orange hat, vest or jacket * Eye & ear protection * Shotgun shells, 2-3 boxes (no larger than 7 1/2 shot) * Weather appropriate clothing and footwear Peter Eisentrager
