This workshop will assist landowners with how to manage for a healthy forest and benefit to wildlife.
Additional Information: Instructed by:
If you're thinking about a timber harvest at your farm but unsure how to begin the process or who to contact for help, plan to attend this informative workshop the last weekend in October. You will learn about the benefits to managing your forest beyond the monetary value. Some of these benefits include improving the health of your forest, recruiting the next generation of tree seedlings, and benefits to numerous wildlife species. Attendees will be able to view an active timber harvest in Gasconade County to better understand the harvesting process. Weather permitting we will demonstrate a 37 hp. TimberKing portable sawmill during a light lunch following the tour. Aaron Holsapple
