Equipment, Casting, and Proper Fish Handling

Lesson 1: Equipment, Casting and Proper Fish Handling combines instruction with hands-on fishing to teach young anglers and families basic fishing techniques and skills. Participants will learn how to properly and safely cast a spincast fishing rod, parts of a fishing rod, how to fasten basic fishing tackle and how to properly handle and release a fish. Equipment, instructors/coaches and bait/lures will be provided. Ages 5 and above. All children ages 7-15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Fishing permits are not required to fish during this program. John Rittel

Directions:

Prairie Hollow Lake is located 2 miles south on Ranson Road past the entrance to James A. Reed MWA/KC Regional Office. Drive past the Greenwood Cemetery and enter at the first yellow gate.

Cancellation Policies:

You must cancel your registration before Tuesday, October 1, 2019.

Age Policy:

All registrants for this event must be between 5 and 99 years of age by 10/1/2019.
