If you are riding with us from the Cape Girardeau Nature Center, please select the "Ride with Us" option. If you want to meet us there, select the "Drive Yourself" sign up. A rare habitat can be found in Southeast Missouri. A place where Dusty hognose snakes burrow and Prickly pear cactus grows. Trek the sandy soils of Sand Prairie Conservation area in search of unique plants and animals that depend on this site for survival. Participants must dress appropriately for the weather and must wear sturdy shoes. Bring water and any comfort items (insect repellant, hat, binoculars, sunscreen, etc.) Program will be canceled if severe weather is in the area. You will be contacted if program is canceled. |
