DETAILS
Prescribed burning can be a valuable tool for managing native plant diversity and controlling undesirable vegetation, but it can be dangerous and ineffective when not used properly. This workshop will provide basic information about how to plan and execute a prescribed burn for grassland management.
Additional Information: Instructed by:
Classroom session 9-noon at Training Center, Room A. Lunch provided. Weather permitting a burn will be conducted in afternoon. Wear appropriate outdoor clothing made of cotton or wool, leather boots, leather gloves, eye protection, handkerchief, water bottle. Lia Heppermann

Regional Training Center. Building down in the valley -- away from all of the main buildings.

Directions to the training center: From US Hwy 50, take Prairie Dell Road south about 1/2 mile and turn Right on Audrey Lane. The ECC training center is on the left about 1/4 mile past "Nothing Fancy" Skating Rink. Specific GPS coordinates to the Training Center are: 38°25'35.25" N, 90°58'38.10" W
