Are you physically fit and looking for a more strenuous and challenging off-trail experience? This opportunity of applying map interpretation to the land awaits you for a 4 to 6 mile off trail trek In Weldon Spring CA. You will work with our Naturalists to read landforms from a topo map, and find various landmarks, graveyards, and remnants of settlers’ homesteads in the rugged and steep woods of Weldon. This naturalist lead program is designed for those who have a working knowledge of an orienteering compass and desire more experience at reading a map. Program will meet at August A. Busch Memorial Conservation for a classroom portion. Participants will apply the classroom portion at Weldon Springs. Difficulty: Moderate to strenuous / up and down the rolling hills of Weldon Spring Conservation Area. Must bring lunch & water. Nichole Wheaton
