DETAILS
The Missouri Hunter Education Skills Session is the second half of the hunter education certification process after completing one of the knowledge based options. Students must be 11 years of age & older to attend this session.

This skills session will satisfy part two of Missouri Hunter Education requirements. To obtain hunter education certification you must also attend part one (online, self study, or a classroom session) and bring along your skills session qualifier certificate or a student manual with the review questions completed. Students 15 and under must also bring a copy of their birth certificate or other proof of age. The final exam will be administered at the end of the skills session. Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before the beginning of the class to complete registration; late arrivals will not be admitted so please arrive early. In the event of a cancellation, you will be contacted by email and/or phone. Note: Students who are 16 and over AND who have completed the all online Hunter Education course are certified and do not need to attend an in person skills session. Students under the age of 13 should have an adult guardian attend the course with them. For questions about the course call the Powder Valley Nature Center at 314/301-1500. The class will be held in the Training Center at East Central College. The Training Center building is off Audrey Lane on the south edge of the ECC campus. A GPS WILL TAKE YOU TO THE CAMPUS BUT NOT TO THE TRAINING CENTER (The training center is on the south edge of campus. It is best to avoid coming in the main entrance to the college. Instead, go "straight through" the roundabout on Prairie Dell and proceed to Audrey Lane.) From U.S. 50, go south on Prairie Dell Road approximately 1/2 mile and turn right toward the Nothing Fancy Skating rink. The Training Center is on the left about 0.2 mile past the skating rink. Please make sure to bring a photo ID and ONE of the following: Your PRINTED form from passing the online class; OR a completed MDC workbook. KEVIN E DIXON

Directions to the training center: From US Hwy 50, take Prairie Dell Road south about 1/2 mile and turn Right on Audrey Lane. The ECC training center is on the left about 1/4 mile past "Nothing Fancy" Skating Rink. Specific GPS coordinates to the Training Center are: 38°25'35.25" N, 90°58'38.10" W
