Late October - Early November Registration required (ages 13-18 years). Early registration begins October 15. Join us as we travel to the Missouri River Bird Observatory near Arrow Rock and try to capture and band the smallest, and cutest, owl species in Missouri, the Northern saw-whet owl. Banding takes place on clear nights with a slight north wind. Due to inability to accurately forecast the weather, this will be a short-notice program that may be any night of the week. Participants will be contacted as early as possible on the day of the program with more details. A permission form, available at the nature center, must be completed before attending.
