This program is designed for those who have had some experience with shotguns. We’ll cover safety, appropriate guns and ammunition, rules of the game, etiquette on the field, and field layout. Firearms and ammunition will be provided, or you can bring your own.

Jay Henges Shooting Range will be hosting an open-house event for 5-stand and trap shooting on August 21st from 5:00-7:00 P.M. This event is free and open to the public and you may show up any time during that time frame, no sign-up is required. Firearms and ammunition will be provided by MDC, however, if you’d like to bring your own, you may. This will be a great opportunity for anyone looking to get into shotgun sports or game bird hunting and we encourage you to come out and learn the fundamentals. Henges staff will be on site to teach and assist as needed. Again, you do not need to sign up to attend this program. The event will also be broadcast on Facebook Live.
