This float will allow beginners to learn the basics of canoeing and river fishing on a 4 mile guided float trip on Big Sugar Creek. No groups, this program is for individuals 15 years and older only. Anyone ages 15 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult. The float is led by MDC staff using MDC provided canoes. Shuttle transportation is provided. Participants 16 years of age and older must possess a valid Missouri fishing license. This event is free; however, participants are responsible for their own lunch, refreshments and supplies, i.e. hat, glasses, sun screen, etc. ANDREW D RHODES

MDC Public River Access for Elk River and Big Sugar Creek

Directions:

North on Business 71 into Pineville across old Hwy. 71 bridge, then a right turn onto South Jesse James Road followed by and immediate right onto Rhine street. The drive for the access will be within 100 feet of the intersection on Rhine.

All registrants for this event must be between 15 and 99 years of age by 7/11/2018.
