| Fishing May 30 • Wednesday • 10 a.m.–noon (Ages 11-15) Reservations begin May 1. Spend the morning in Forest Park learning the basics of fishing. All equipment will be provided as we fish for catfish, bass or sunfish. Meets at the Educational Fishing Lakes and Hatchery in Forest Park. Although fishing is permitted in the park with a license, the Forest Park Educational Fishing Lakes are not open to public fishing unless registered for a program. Bring a water bottle and dress for the weather, rain or shine! |

Location Information Originally established in 1879, the Forest Park Hatchery was the first fish culture activity in Missouri. Today this fish hatchery is no longer operated for fish farming but rather for educational programming. |
