Walk-in (all ages) Amahla Mallea, Drake University history professor and author of upcoming book Downstreamers: An Urban Environmental History of the Kansas Cities and the Missouri River, will discuss the complicated relationship between the urban history of Kansas City and the environmental history of the Missouri River including efforts to control it. This program is presented in partnership with the Missouri Humanities Council. A reception will be held at 6 p.m. with the program starting at 6:30 p.m. |
