| The Schell City Community and the Missouri Department of Conservation are hosting an Eagle Day Event on Saturday, February 3 in downtown Schell City. Phoenix, the bald eagle and Aquila, a golden eagle, both from the Dickerson Park Zoo will be at the Community Building in Schell City and will appear as part of the programs that are held every hour on the hour from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Schell City is located 12 miles east (Hwy 54) and 10 miles north (Hwy AA) of Nevada. Attendees are encouraged to go out to the Schell-Osage Conservation Area to view the bald eagles. Food and drinks will be available from the Schell City Community Betterment Committee during the day.
