We will have a classroom presentation and open discussion on what would the tallgrass prairies of the frontier have looked like when George Washington Carver was growing up? Naturalist and Conservation Educator Jeff Cantrell will share the plants and animals of southwest Missouri that inhabit the native grasslands of the Missouri frontier. He will share almost 30 years of experience of working or volunteering on The Nature Conservancy, MDC and the MO Prairie Foundation grasslands in the southwest corner of our state.
