Walk-in (all ages) Woodcraft is defined as knowledge of the woods, especially in reference to camping, hunting and other outdoor pursuits. Join us to learn how to light a campfire, swing an axe to split firewood and tap a backyard tree for syrup. Spend the day mastering these useful outdoor basics and others. Learn about the bounty of beavers and how the pre-settlement fur industry shaped our history. Properly prepared beaver meat tastes like roast beef. Stop by for a sample! There will also be kids' crafts and maple syrup tasting for the whole family. |
